Chicago Firefighters Make Quick Knock

The home belonged to a firefighter

On Oct. 30, Chicago firefighters were dispatched to a house fire on the city's northwest side.

They recognized that the home was owned by a fellow firefighter.

The crew of Engine 119 dropped a hand line, while personnel from Truck 55 went to vent the roof.

Firefighters rescued two dogs.

The investigation determined the fire started in a back bedroom and spread to the roof.

The homeowner was comforted by firefighters.
