Georgia Firefighters Respond to Structure Fire

Crews used hand tools and chainsaws to make entry to extinguish hot spots.

Chatham County, Ga. communications dispatched Southside Fire stations 10 and 12 along with Garden City Fire to a structure fire at the Azalea Trailer Park off of Ogeechee Road.

Engine 10's crew found a fully-involved single wide trailer and pulling a pre-connect hand line for attack. Engine 12 personnel assisted with the fire attack.

Garden City engine and tanker personnel pulled multiple lines and attacked the intense fire.

Once the fire was knocked, crews used hand tools and chainsaws to make entry to extinguish hot spots. Neighbors reported hearing loud bangs going off inside the residence. The trailer was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

One pet perished in the blaze. The fire is under investigation.
