Car Crashes into Pennsylvania Home

The victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment

On Sunday, Oct. 12 at 1:34 a.m. crews from Ellsworth (38) & Richeyville (27) Volunteer Fire Companies and Bentworth EMS (Medic 1100) were dispatched to 2588 East National Pike (US Route 40) for a vehicle accident with entrapment, a car into a house.

Beallsville Police (55-20) were first on scene confirming a car into a house with two occupants entrapped. Engine 27 arrived on the scene with Captain Pohill assuming command of the scene. Crews from 38 arrived on the scene next followed by Bentworth EMS. Crews from both departments split into patient care and extrication teams and worked together to rescue the occupants.

The driver side extrication team -- under the command of Captain Faryna (38), and the passenger side crew under command of Captain Pysh (38) -- extricated the occupants and transferred care to waiting EMS crews.

Both occupants were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Crews from 38 returned to station without further incident while 27 crews secured the scene until the vehicle was removed.

Responding equipment was Engine 38-2, Medic 38, Engine 27-1, Squad 27, Bentworth Medic 1103, Beallsville Police and Pennsylvania State Police.
