Excavator Roles Onto Lincoln In Connecticut

The driver of the Lincoln escaped with only minor injuries after an excavator which was chained to the trailer rolled onto the vehicle. The vehicle was literally pounded into the road surface, embedding the right front wheel into the pavement.

The driver of the car stated he could see the trailer rolling towards him in slow motion however he was unable to maneuver out of the way. Upon fire department arrival the victim had removed himself from the vehicle and had only minor injuries.

The elderly man was transported to the hospital by a fire department ambulance.

The driver of the combination dump truck and trailer stated he was not speeding and did not know why the trailer rolled; he was unhurt in the accident. Local police continue to investigate the accident.
