Florida Crews Rescue Worker From Trench

The incident happened on June 14, 2004 at 11 30 a.m. when a utility worker connecting sewer lines was trapped in a 20' deep trench when the trench walls collapsed.

It took approximately 2 1/2 hours to extricate the worker from the trench. The worker was flown to a trauma center with a possible broken hip.
