Maybrook, New York Firefighters Battle Well Involved Vehicle Fire

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 23 the Maybrook Fire Department was alerted for a vehicle fire at the Stewart Shoppe at 970 Homestead Avenue in the Village.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 23 the Maybrook Fire Department was alerted for a vehicle fire at the Stewart Shoppe at 970 Homestead Avenue in the Village.

Maybrook PD and Howells Fire Department Car 2 arrived to find a well involved Chevy Blazer next to the building.

The fire was held in check until Maybrook E-215 arrived and made quick work of knocking down the fire but not before some very minor damage was done to the building which had some smoke inside and heat damage to the the overhang area..

The Montgomery Fire Department assisted Maybrook at the scene with ventilation and spare manpower. The cause of the fire was believed to be mechanical in nature.
