Commercial Structure Fire in Pennsylvania

A trench cut was completed and the fire contained to the Hilltop Market in the plaza.

Fire broke out in an unopened business in an occupied Commercial Strip Mall around 7 am on February 22, 2007 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County PA. West End Fire (Station 43), Jackson Township Fire Department and West End EMS were on the initial assignment. Chief 43 (Command) immediately request additional full department responses from Polk Township and Sun Valley Fire Departments along with Pocono Township Intervention Team.

Command then requested the 2nd due Aerial from Tobyhanna Township Fire Department along with tankers from Tunkhannock Township, Pocono Township, Kunkletown, Blue Ridge, Tobyhanna Township, Pocono Summit, Pocono Mountain in addition to Carbon County District 12 for RIT and Tankers. Carbon County District 4 and 9 along with Monroe County Stroud Township Fire Department on relocation coverage assignments.
