Huntsville, Alabama Firefighters Battle Car Fire

Firefighters worked to gain access to the engine compartment to extinguish the fire in a matter of minutes.

Around 4 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 17, Huntsville Fire Communications started receiving call for a vehicle fire in the area of 2200 Sparkman Drive, on the city’s north side. Engine 8 was dispatched and while enroute, Huntsville Fire Communications advised they were receiving numerous calls for a working vehicle fire.

Engine 8 arrived on scene to find a passenger car fully involved in the parking lot of a local business. Firefighters from Engine 8 knocked down the fire and worked to gain access to the engine compartment to extinguish the fire in a matter of minutes. Due to the time of day there were no immediate exposures.
