Two Story House Destroyed by Fire

Four are left Homeless in Sheldon, Vermont.

Sheldon VT./ On January 26th at approximately 10:15 a.m., the Sheldon, Vermont Fire Department responded to Firn Ridge Road for a fully engulfed house fire.

On arrival of the first due engine, flames and smoke were showing. Mutial aid from Enosburg, Franklin, St.Albans Town, Highgate FDs as well as Enosburg Ambulance responded.

Four people were in the house at the time the fire broke out; all 4 escaped without injuries. 2 cats were lost in the fire. Fire personal had to truck water up a private driveway about a half mile from Sweet Hollow Rd. in slippery conditions.

Firefighters battled the blaze in sub 0 temperatures. The cause of the fire was to be believed to be from the wood furnace.
