Brittlebank Road House Fire in South Carolina

Firefighters made an aggressive attack with one 1-3/4 handline and quickly brought the fire under control.

Colleton County, South Carolina Fire-Rescue responded to a singlewide mobile home fire at 341 Brittlebank Road, Tuesday 16-January at 16:15. Fire units arrived to find heavy smoke conditions with flames extending through the roof in the center of the structure.

Firefighters made an aggressive attack with one 1-3/4 handline and quickly brought the fire under control. Most of the fire was contained to the master bathroom in the center of the trailer. No one was at home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The remainder of the structure suffered smoke and heat damage. The fire originated in the bathroom and the cause is under investigation. Engine 1901, Engine 2401, Tanker 103, Tanker 2402, Tanker 1202, Medic 27, Battalion 1 and Truck 12 responded. Battalion Chief Dan Barb served as Incident Commander.
