Texas Bravest Battle Propane Truck On Fire

First on scene found a tractor trailer with the rear wheels on fire. The trailer contents are full propane cylinders.

On 01-26-04 Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department responded to a propane truck on fire at the 7900 block of Barker Cypress in Northwest Harris County, Texas.

Cy-Fair district #3 was the first on scene and found a tractor trailer with the rear wheels on fire. The trailer contents are full propane cylinders. Cy-Fair engine 11 was the first truck on scene and laid a 4" line form a hydrant near the scene and started cooling the propane cylinders with a 2.5 " line and a 1 3/4" line. Engines 8, 9 and Rescue 3 also arrived and assisted.

The tractor was extinguished with minimal damage to the rear propane cylinders and cargo.
