Texas Volunteers Save House from Garage Fire

Dispatcher said eyewitness on scene said flames were coming out of the attic of a two story frame house.

The Joshua, Texas VFD saved a house from total destruction. June 18, 2004 at 8:45 a. m. they were dispatched to a fully involved structure fire on CR 1022. Dispatcher said eyewitness on scene said flames were coming out of the attic of a two story frame house.

Mutual aid for tankers were immediately called for from the Mid-North VFD and Godley VFD. Joshua Engine #1 was first on scene. Two attack lines were taken in through the garage and up to the second floor bedrooms.

Joshua Engine #2 arrived for water supply before Engine #1's water was empty. Thus, allowing for a continuous attack of the fire. The fire was contained to the upstairs rooms over the garage and the end outside wall.
