Richmond City's Bravest Battle Early Morning Trailer Fire

Crews remained on the scene checking for extension and for overhaul for about 1 1/2 hours.

At approximately 8 am Richmond City, Virginia Fire and Emergency Services were altered to mobile home fire in Rudd's Mobile Home Park on Jefferson Davis Highway. The first arriving unit Quint 13 went on the scene with heavy fire showing from a mobile home.

The occupants were removed prior to fire department arrivals by a neighbor. The trailer was heavily involved and three Quints 21,22,13 and Rescue 1 were used at the scene.

The fire was attacked and was brought under control in a few minutes. Crews remained on the scene checking for extension and for overhaul for about 1 1/2 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The occupant and her son were being assisted by the Red Cross.
