Firefighters Battle Somers Point, NJ Boat Fire

Crews arrived to find several fiberglass constructed boats on fire and began an attack using foam from both the ground and the bridge above.

Firefighters from the City of Somers Point, New Jersey responded at 21:45 hours on December 22 for a report of a boat on fire at the marina adjacent to the Route 52 causeway bridge leaing into Ocean City.

Crews arrived to find several fiberglass constructed boats on fire and began an attack using foam from both the ground and the bridge above. Mutual aid was requested from Egg Harbor Twp. who responded three engines and one ladder, and from the Cities of Linwood and Longport FD's who covered the Somers Point stations.
