Georgia Firefighters Battle Fierce Mobile Home Fire

December 4, 2006, Gwinnett County, Georgia Firefighters work in below freezing temperatures to control a fierce blaze at a mobile home on Pine Hill Circle in Lawrenceville. Firefighters found the single-wide mobile home fully involved on arrival.

"The blaze spread to a nearby truck and was threatening two mobile homes on either side," said Lt. Thomas Rutledge, PIO for the Gwinnett Fire Department. Firefighters deployed lines to protect exposures and to attack the flames.

The structure was a total loss. One occupant was home at the time and escaped without injury. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
