Camden, New Jersey 2 Alarm Fire

It was unknown if there were occupants inside so a second alarm was requested, bringing additional fire companies and EMS units.

On Saturday, Dec. 2, at 1:30 p.m., Camden Fire was dispatched to a dwelling fire at 3423 Hamilton Ave. Units responding included Engines 9, 11, Squad 7, Ladders 1 & 3, Rescue and Battalion 2.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing from a two-story structure. It was unknown if there were occupants inside so a second alarm was requested, bringing additional fire companies and EMS units.

Two occupants were transported to Cooper Hospital with smoke inhalation. Firefighters stretched three lines and pulled ceilings while the crew of Rescue 1 made searches.

The fire was under control in 50 minutes.
