House Fire In Schoharie County, New York

Mutual aid was requested from four other departments including Ames VFD, Canajoharie VFD, Cherry Valley VFD and South Minden VFD.

A structure fire was called into the Schoharie County, New York dispatch at 1:30 p.m. by a neighbor a mile and a half away. Sharon Springs firefighters arrived to find the house fully involved.

Mutual aid was requested from four other departments including Ames VFD, Canajoharie VFD, Cherry Valley VFD and South Minden VFD. This response brought in firefighters from three separate counties in Upstate New York.

No one was home at the time of the blaze, the house was a total loss. Firefighters were on scene until 6 pm conducting overhaul operations.
