3-Alarm Apartment Fire in Southwest Houston, Texas

Firefighters rushed to the scene ready for search and rescue. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the blaze.

On November 24, 2006 at approximately 6:30pm, two immediate alarms were sent to the call of an apartment fire with people trapped. Heavy smoke was visible and fire was shooting through the roof when the first engines arrived at an apartment fire in Houston, Texas.

Firefighters rushed to the scene ready for search and rescue. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the blaze. Fire spread rapidly across the roof and adjacent units, so a third alarm was dispatched. Most of the building was destroyed and many residents have lost everything. Red Cross is helping some of the displaced tenants.

Arson investigators are on the scene trying to determine the cause and no other information was given.
