Two Elderly Women Escape Louisiana House Fire

Firefighting efforts were hampered when a power line fell and electrified the fence surrounding the structure. The local electric company arrived some 45 minutes.

Two elderly women escaped with out injury early Tuesday October 3, 2006 when their house caught fire. Firefighters from Judice, Milton and Duson Louisiana, responded on the first alarm. A second alarm for water support was soon answered by the Maurice and Scott Fire Departments. Firefighting efforts were hampered when a power line fell and electrified the fence surrounding the structure.

The local electric company arrived some 45 minutes, after they were notified the power was shut of and the fire was able to be put under control.
