Detroit Firefighters Battle Two Vacant Dwellings

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on October 8, a box assignment dispatching Detroit units for a dwelling at 17438 Maine was given.

DETROIT, MI -– At approximately 12:45 a.m. on October 8, a box assignment dispatching Detroit units for a dwelling at 17438 Maine was given.

First arriving units began stretching on two vacant dwellings on Maine near Stender.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire in both vacant buildings. No civilian or firefighter injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation
