Pennsylvania Emergency Crews Respond to MVA With Injury, Entrapment

On May 16, 2004, at 7:52 AM, West Mead #2 VFD (29) and Meadville Ambulance (33) in Pennsylvania were dispatched to an MVA with injury and entrapment on State Hwy 77 in West Mead Twp.

On May 16, 2004, at 7:52 AM, West Mead #2 VFD (29) and Meadville Ambulance (33) in Pennsylvania were dispatched to an MVA with injury and entrapment on State Hwy 77 in West Mead Twp.

At 7:55 AM, Chief 29 (Kris Simmons) arrived on the scene and reported one car into a tree with heavy damage and entrapment, assumed command and moved to a tactical frequency.

Four minutes later, 33-6 and rescue 29-8 arrived on the scene and began patient care and rescue operations. The crews from 29-8 and 29-2 completed hazard control then removed the driver
