At approximately 06:50 on Saturday May 8, E822 was dispatched to a MVA with one vehicle overturned on Trask Pkwy near the Budget Inn.
E822 arrived on scene and reported a two vehicle MVA with multiple patients in and outside the vehicles. Beaufort County EMS 3 arrived and requested BCEMS 2 and Lifestar Helicopter to respond. BCEMS 1 and Shift Supervisor also were special called later.
E822 assumed command and requested E824 to respond for LZ operations. Eight Burton Fire District personnel and three apparatus assisted BCEMS with the packaging and loading of five patients for transport via ground to Beaufort Memorial Hospital and one patient to Savannah memorial via Lifestar Air Ambulance.
