May 8 - While units from Stations 5(Dunkirk), 6(Huntingtown), 1(North Beach), and 2(Prince Frederick) were clearing Box 5-03 in Dunkirk, at 0311 hours Communications dispatched Commercial Box 6-02 in Huntingtown.

Stations 6, 2, 5, and 1 responded to 2555 Solomons Island Road North (Route 4) and arrived with fire showing from the roof of a two story building. A second alarm and a tanker task force was called for due to heavy fire and the area being non-hydranted.

Engines 6-2, 2-2, 5-1, and 1-2 made an aggressive attack on the fire and knocked the bulk of it out. Tower 2 used the master stream to knock the rest of the fire in the roof out. Units were held on the scene for two hours overhauling the building.

The fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall's office.
