Maryland Firefighters Rescue Two Women From Sinkhole

Firefighters rescued two women after they became trapped in a massive sinkhole.

As Eyewitness News was first to show you, two women have been rescued after they became trapped in a massive sinkhole. It happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday when a car drove into a sinkhole that is on an access road to the Owings Mills Mall in Baltimore County.

Officials remain on the scene but have not determined what caused the sinkhole which is approximately 30 feet wide and 15 to 20 feet deep. The women were flown to Shock Trauma but there is no word on their injuries. The mall is still open, but traffic is being diverted in the area.
