Missouri Restaurant Goes Up in Flames

An early morning fire destroys a Long John Silver Restaurant in Florissant Mo.

A first alarm assignment was dispatched shortly before 0600hrs on Friday October 10 for smoke coming from the building.

First in units reported heavy smoke showing, using a preconnect. Ladder truck 4015 arrived and went into hydraulics with fire now showing through the roof near the rear of the building above the kitchen area.

The fire was held to the first alarm companies which included all three Florissant fire trucks, and mutual aid companies from Berkeley, Hazelwood, and Ferguson Fire Departments.

The restaurant had just recently finished remodeling the interior of the store. The building is a total loss with the fire under investigation. There were no injuries to report.
