New York Firefighters Respond to Vacant Dwelling Blaze

It took about an hour for the fire to be knocked down

BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo firefighters responded to the corner of Bradley Street at Hawley Street around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26 for a fire. Firefighterss found fire showing from the second floor of a two and a half story wood frame vacant dwelling, located at 102 Bradley St.

Firefighters made an aggressive attack into the building with a 1 3/4 inch hand line. They were able to knock on floor two within a few minutes of entering the building. Heavy fire had made its way into the attic. The truck company crews opened up the roof, and vented the fire allowing interior firefighters o open up and knock down the hidden fire.

The fire was completely extinguished, and overhauled after a little over an hour. Damage to the building was estimated to be at $25,000.
