Pennsylvania Firefighters Respond to Vehicle Crash

The vehicle was in a cornfield.

West Earl Township, Penn. -- At 11:19 a.m. on Sept. 28, the Rescue Local was transmitted on BOX 313 to the area of Route 222 at Peach Road in the Township for a crash with people trapped and ejected.

Crews from Engine Company 313, Rescue Squad 115 along with EMS from Ephrata Hospital's Medic 4, 9 and Ambulances 112-1 & 112-2 were advised of a single-vehicle crash.

Crews found a vehicle in a cornfield. Two patients were out of the vehicle.

Crews quickly assisted the patients and transported them to Lancaster General Hospital with serious injuries. The officer on Squad/Utility 313 held the 313 command as units went ready in about 30 minutes.
