Firefighters Put Out Pennsylvania Barn Blaze

Crews remained on the scene for about four hours

EAST EARL TOWNSHIP, PA -- On Thursday August 21 around 0530 Hours, BOX Alarm 36 was transmitted to 1551 Main Street in East Earl Township for the reported barn on fire.

With units on the first alarm assignment being brought up, D/C 36 was in the area reporting to communications a working barn fire and transmitted the 2nd Alarm Assignment.

Crews arrived reporting a large 50 x 60 barn well off with multiple exposures and harzards inside the barn.

All hands went to work as the Tanker Companies started a shuttle water to the scene to supply units going heavy duty.

Crews remained on scene for about four hours with one fireman being transported to Ephrata Hospital for a medical problem.
