Pennsylvania Crews Battle Fully Involved Vehicle Fire

The Bradford City, Penn. Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire at 8:25 p.m. on Aug. 24.

Tower 1 and Engine 1 responded with six firefighters under the command of Captain Chris Angell. Upon arrival, firefighters found a Mercury Villager minivan fully involved.

Firefighters placed two, one and three quarter inch attack lines into operation to extinguish the fire. It was determined that an individual had been working on the vehicles gas line causing a fuel leak that ignited. Firefighters were on the scene for 45 minutes. The van was destroyed.
