Rhode Island Departments Report to Structure Fire

The structure was a total loss

Early Tuesday morning, Glocester firefighters responded to the end of James Street for a reported structure fire.

Harmony Chief arrived first due and reported a well involved two story barn structure, similar to a barn, with vehicles also involved.

Smithfield, Burrilliville, and Scituate crews worked in a defensive operation due to water problems, structural involvement and imminent danger of collapse.

A Tanker shuttle operation was put in place from the scene to the fill site at Route 116 and Route 44 to provide a sufficient water supply for fire ground operations.

The fire was contained to the barn which was a total loss and two vehicles no injuries were reported the state fire Marshall's office is on scene to investigate.
