Crews rotated out due to the extreme Georgia heat conditions during overhaul operations.

Chatham County 911 communications center dispatched Southside Fire Department to the 300 block of Cottonvale Road for a reported structure fire. While en route, dispatch received multiple reports of a trailer on fire.

Southside's Engine 12 arrived advising smoke and flames visible pulling two crosslays. Engine 10 arrived and set up drafting operations while Cottonvale command requested additional water tenders and manpower from Southside and mutual aid from Garden City. Firefighters from both departments made a quick knockdown on the fire.

Prior to the arrival of Engine 12 a neighbor pulled several propane tanks from around the home and attempted to put out the fire with a garden hose. Crews rotated out due to the extreme Georgia heat conditions during overhaul operations.

Fire is currently under investigation.
