Virginia Crews Respond to Smokey Blaze

Firefighters had to work in temperatures of over 100 degrees

On Monday June 9, Fairfax County 9-1-11 dispatchers recieved a call for a structure fire in the Old Dominion section of McLean. Callers were reporting that there was fire showing from the roof.

The crew of Engine 413 found no fire and just smoke showing from the attic and roof vents of the structure. Within 10 minutes, they had the fire under control.

Firefighters were on the scene for approx 30 minutes. Most units were released at the 30 minute mark.
