North Dakota Firefighters Respond to Blaze

Two buildings were completely destroyed by the fire.

On the early morning of April 4, the Drake Volunteer Fire Department battled a blaze on the town's main street.

The first responding unit noticed heavy smoke and fire coming from front of the building. The IC instantly called for mutual aid assistance from three other local fire departments that did respond to the fire. The main street businesses are all connected brick buildings.

Two buildings were completely destroyed by the fire. The responding fire departments did save the third building that was connected.

It was the town's only grocery store.
