On Sunday November 10th at approximately 8:30pm, fire broke out at a storage garage at Liberty Auto & Electric Co. located at 38 Gurdon St. The business has been at these premises since 1920.
The first in companies of the Bridgeport Fire Department found heavy fire showing from the attic area. An interior attack was immediately made before companies were pulled out for a defensive attack.
Five engine companies, two trucks, 1 rescue, 1 battalion, and one deputy responded to the fire.
Fire crews brought the fire under control at around 10:20pm.
Cause of the fire is unknown at this point.
