New York Firefighters Respond to Vehicle Fire

Safe distance was kept from the vehicle while the last of the ammunition burnt off.

The Latham Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire with an exposure on Monday night.

First arriving Police advised Car 26 that there was ammunition in the vehicle and that it was exploding. Car 26 arrived to find a pickup with fire involvement, no exposures. The vehicle was allowed to burn and a safe distance was kept from the vehicle while the last of the ammunition burnt off.

Once it was safe to do so crews from Engine 416 and Engine 418 attacked the fire.
