New Jersey Firefighters Respond to Blaze

The occupants escaped safely

The volunteer fire companies of Cologne, Mays Landing, Laureldale (Hamilton Twp.) and Cardiff (Egg Harbor Twp.) responded at 12:15 a.m. on April 18 to Troon Court in Hamilton Township, N.J. for a report of a structure fire. Car 1810, Mays Landing Chief Dave Connelly arrived and reported a one story wood frame well involved, with the B exposure's D side well involved and requested one Engine and Tower from the Cardiff Fire Company. MLFC Engine 1812 arrived first, followed by a Cologne engine laying in with LDH, which was hooked in to E-1812. Numerous hand lines were immediately deployed, and the fire was contained to the structure of origin, and heavy fire damage to the exposure. No injuries were reported, and the occupants escaped safely.
