New York Firefighters Respond to House Fire

Around 9:30 p.m. Chelsea, Castle Point and Beacon Volunteer Ambulance were dispatched to a possible house fire with people trapped on the upper floor.

Upon arrival of Castle Point, they found all occupants out of the building and the front of the build fully involved on both floors. It took six companies to get the fire under control and it was under control around midnight.

The Dutchess County Fire Investigation Unit and the Town of Fishkill Police Department then began the investigation into the cause of the blaze.

There were no injuries at the scene and two dogs that were on the seconded floor survived the fire.
