Multi-Alarm Commercial Structure Fire

The Spring Lodge motel suffered extensive damage in the early morning hours of October 1, 2006. The initial alarm was called sometime after 1:00 a.m. with reports of smoke.

The Spring Lodge motel suffered extensive damage in the early morning hours of October 01, 2006. The initial alarm was called sometime after 1:00 a.m. with reports of smoke showing from the structure which is located adjacent to Interstate 45 in Spring, TX.

Many additional alarms were needed in order to provide the necessary equipment and manpower required to attempt to extinguish the fire. Many local departments as well as departments from the surrounding counties responded to help contain the blaze. Units from Houston, Spring, Ponderosa, Cypress Creek, Cy-Fair, Westfield, The Woodlands, Needham, South Montgomery County, Magnolia, Tomball and Conroe as well as others responded to the scene.

The fire was declared under control at approximately 5:15 a.m. There were no reports of any serious injuries. The fire is currently under investigation.
