Just after 1 p.m., the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services responded for a report of a barn fire in 2600 block of Jennings Chapel Road in Woodbine.
Crews found a 100' x 50' barn completely engulfed in flames.
Additional tankers were requested along with a second-alarm which brought approximately 60 firefighters from Carroll, Frederick and Montgomery counties to assist.
Family members were successful at evacuating several animals from the barn prior to the arrival of the fire department.
The fire is currently under investigation.
