Seafood Truck Crashes in Virginia

Feb. 22, 2012

On Tuesday, Feb. 21 at about 11 a.m. at MM 22 on Interstate 77 North Bound, a driver lost control of the truck he was driving.

The vehicle was a Thermo King truck hauling seafood.

As the driver entered a curve he swerved and rolled the truck into the guard rail on the left side of the lane, wrapping the guard rail up into the motor.

The crash left seafood all over the road and blocked both lanes of the north side, so traffic was stopped for for clean up efforts.

The driver was not injured in the accident. The Virginia State Police are investigating the accident and some fuel leaks were taken care of by the HVFD.
