Person Killed in New Jersey Fire

One person was killed in a house fire March 2 in Camden City.

The fire was reported 4 a.m. on Decatur Street.

The crew on Squad 7 reported heavy fire showing on the first floor, and they were preparing to go into operation.

Battalion 1 reported a two-story middle of the row house with heavy fire conditions.

A water supply was secured as crews went into operation with a 1 ¾” hand line.  The rescue company performed searches as the ladder company opened up. 

The fire was placed under control with no injuries.

The Camden County PAU, Camden Police Department and Camden Fire Department have the fire under investigation.
