Canada Firefighters Battle House Fire

Fire broke out shortly before 10 a.m. in a luxurious Meadowview Road property on March 20.

Firefighters from Morin-Heights, St-Sauveur and Ste-Adele with tanker trucks and crews were called to the scene as the area is devoid of standpipes.

Firefighters had to work for more than four hours to contain the blaze, the smoke column was visible over 10 miles.

The tankers took turns from the scene and went to the village to fill up with water.

Many curious immobilized their vehicles along the road to observe the conduct of operations.

The SQ (state police) was on hand to control movement, both on the site, on the road.

Technicians of the SPLL ambulance were also on hand for safety.
