Texas Crews Go Defensive on Building Fire

July 13, 2012

Fort Worth firefighters worked for 90 minutes to bring a commercial building fire under control on July 7.

The alarm was dispatched at 4:39 a.m. and Engine 37 found a large, two-story warehouse/office structure, occupied by H&H Pool Decks, fully involved.

A defensive stand was taken as conditions prevented firefighters from entering the building for an interior attack.

Command requested two extra engines as the battle continued.

There were no injuries to either civilians or firefighters.

The building was a total loss and was listed at $452,000 with early damage estimates from employees that said the contents was valued at over $500,000.
