N.Y. House Fire Claims One Life

Four departments were called to the scene of a fatal house fire on Falstaff Road in Irondequoit on July 15.

The Laurelton Fire Department was alerted around 1 a.m. and and when they arrived they found heavy smoke coming from the home. Crews from Ridge Culver, Point Pleasant, and West Webster Fire Departments were also called to the scene.

Heavy flames started to show from the attic and the home partially collapsed. With heavy fire conditions, command had crews attack it from outside the home.

Once they were able to get inside, firefighters found a victim unresponsive. The 31-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
