Oregon Firefighters Contain Trailer Fire Near Home

Clackamas Fire crews responded to a reported structure fire in the area of 22nd Avenue and Park in Milwaukie on July 30 at 8:18 a.m.

Crews arrived to find a trailer fully involved with fire impinging on the nearby home. Clackamas firefighters quickly able to extinguish the fire on the exterior of the structure, saving the home. 

Several calls were made to 911 on this incident; however the inital call came from the homeowner who reported the trailer in the driveway was on fire.  All three occupants of the house were able to escape.

A litter of kittens was reported to have been inside the trailer at the time of the fire and one cat has been taken by a rescue unit to Northwest Vet Specialists with burns. 

Fire investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire and the damage is estimated around $10,000.
