Jan. 4, 2013

Rochester used a defensive attack to bring a two-alarm fire in a large three-story building under control on Dec. 26.

While responding to the St. Paul Street address. the assignment was filled out with multiple calls reporting a house fire.

Engine 2 went on location with heavy fire out the windows on the third floor and through the roof of a large three-story building.

The deputy chief assumed command in front of the building and requested a second alarm.

Soon after, command ordered all firefighters out of the building and fought the fire defensively.

About a dozen companies responded to the scene.
