Two-alarm Structure Fire Erupts in Penn.

Around 7:20 p.m. fire departments around New Cumberland were dispatched for a house fire and they arrived to find fire blowing out second story windows on sides A and B.

The fire quickly progressed and spread into the attic area as crews were sent inside to perform primary search and fire suppression.

Firefighters from Truck 10 and Truck 12 assisted with venting the roof which was layered with slate and difficult to get through.

The fire was brought under control in about an hour and there was one firefighter injury.

The dwelling was a complete loss due to fire and water damage. All occupants did get out of the residence.

Units that responded: Cumberland County Companies 10, 12, 13, 14 ,21, 22 and York Co 68 and 69.
