Minneapolis firefighters used hoselines and aerial master streams to contain an early morning house fire Dec. 24.

The fire at 2501 Girard Ave. North was called in around 5 a.m.

Despite an interior attack, heavy fire gained possession of the structure and firefighters pulled out for a defensive attack. 

The fire left several people homeless.
