Ky. Firefighters Hit Bedroom Fire

Firefighters arrived to find a working fire in a bedroom area of the home.

Florence firefighters responded to the 15 block of Dortha Ave at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 26 for a report of a one-alarm fire. Callers advised that there was heavy black smoke on the upper level of a 1 1/2-story home.

Firefighters arrived to find a working fire in a bedroom area of the home. A quick initial attack on the fire confined it to the room of origin and prevented further damage to the rest of the home.

The homeowners escaped the fire without injury and there were no injuries to firefighters.

A total of 22 firefighters operated on the scene for approximately one hour. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
