Lawrenceburg crews made the initial attack on the burning vinyl and glass material piles

Fire at the Dlubak Glass Company in Lawrenceburg quickly spread on May 3. 

Lawrenceburg Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a fire at the company that crushes broken automobile windshields for recycling.

Lawrenceburg crews made the initial attack on the burning vinyl and glass material piles. Fire Chief Bobby Hume called for assistance from the Anderson County Fire Protection District.

As the blaze grew, additional mutal aid was called from Lexington Fire Department, Versailles Fire Department, Franklin County Fire Department.

Firefighters utilized several hydrants to supply water to portable and elevated master streams to bring the fire under control.

The Jessamine County Fire Department, along with the Anderson County Auxiliary responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
